Healing Henna by Henna Bee

This year has been very full and rewarding for me as Henna Bee and Tammi!

I have had the opportunity to give the gift of henna crowns to two very lovely ladies.

Henna Crown by Henna Bee Designs
I hope that this is something I am able to offer to many more people to help with the many different emotions they have when they go through a loss (and I have been told that losing your hair can be a very deep emotional one).  Henna can give someone such a healing or spiritual feeling or sense. It is so unique to each client I have.
I have also been able, this year, to go back and give some healing henna to a beautiful 77 year old woman in our local hospice, where my dad passed away 3 years ago.
It was emotional for me, as I had not been back since then....I think that most of the healing that day was for me!

I see everyday how the art of henna works in mysterious ways. It helps to make strong connections with some people I meet and when shared gives others moments of bonding with each other. Like a mother and daughter or friends giving henna as a gift. I love my job!

Just a little addiction!

                                                    One of my little addictions:

I Love Rings!!   So I thought I would make a little collage of some of my collection, some in action!
It is so hard to resist walking past a shiny little bauble that you see hanging on a display or sitting in a glass covered window. It is almost as if they call to you, quietly at first with a gentle "Hey, how you doing?", then when they know you're looking, they sparkle and shine even more.
And there ya go, you going in for a closer look! and you Oooo and Aww and think, Hmmm that would look so good with ______ or _____!! So naturally you must try that little trinket on! and now they've gotcha!! You can not simply  remove this beautiful evilness willingly! Some how this spawn of awesomeness has completely taken you over and as you reach inside your purse (oh wait! don't get me started on purses of divinity, that is another story!) and take hold of the object that tries to repel your grip (also know as your wallet) you know you have lost! you have no will-power, no strength to resist. You pull out your means of currency and hand it to the guardian of evil, the one who watches over and displays these objects that leave you powerless and less wealthy, saying to yourself "I will be stronger next time, I will not give in, I do not need these bright joyous indulgences" ....yes! you tell yourself that as the guardian wraps these precious prizes and tucks them into perfect little boxes and bags of cuteness supreme!   .... but you know deep in the (not so) back of your wondering mind, it will happen again, probably sooner than later because you are weak and you can not resist sparkle and shine!!! *sigh*  I Love Rings!!

Just hello!

I am Henna Bee Designs  in the Henna World. I will try my first hand at blogging today. It's not like doing henna at all. Seems like it is easier for the designs to flow out of my little paste filled cone into the shapes and circles I want it to make then for words to go from brain to key board with grace and talent!

I envy writers, who can just sweep the key board with their finer tips and poetic art is just there! and we get to enjoy the tales of a photo we can not see or hear the wonderfulness of a moment of giggles and happiness.

I am not sure if my blog will have a specific theme. I think I will just let flow what happens in my little world of henna and art, oh yes, two naughty puppies and other what nots!!

I sit here while the puppies, who you will meet, sleep on my leather sofa on top of a soft warm pillow, they do have a rough life. My deck door is open and the birds are so loud, it seems as there are hundreds all talking at once, but you don't see them, the sing and squeak and chirp from the hided spots in the 30 foot evergreens that line both sides of my house. The chimes are moving, making there deep echo in the wind.

I think it is a good day to have some coffee and do some line art on peach coloured paper. It is one project I am working on. I love how the paper comes to life with every new design I add or fill. I have my favorite spots in each one I do. I will share some of my favorite "spots" on some other art papers I doodled on (below).

I hope they make you happy!!
cheers!!
